The public bashing Brooklyn laid on his family continues to impact the former English footballer. Insiders claim that David “can’t stop crying at the slightest little thing.” Brooklyn’s estrangement has reportedly left David and Victoria devastated.

Even for their other kids’ big moments, Brooklyn appears to be on David and Victoria’s minds. The couple recently went to a concert featuring their son Cruz, with Romeo also in attendance. Cruz performed the tune the Loneliest Boy which seems to get to his family. “The song clearly struck a nerve; it’s deeply emotional,” an insider told RadarOnline.
According to sources, the scenes witnessed at Cruz’s sold-out show reflect the emotional distress everyone is experiencing, particularly David. The former Real Madrid star is allegedly “completely overwhelmed by what’s happened with Brooklyn.” Hearing Cruz perform that tune apparently triggered a whirlwind of feelings for the man knighted Sir David Beckham last November.
The feud between Brooklyn and the family has been going on for months. In November, reports suggested David and Victoria wanted to patch things up with him. If there was an attempt to reconcile, it wasn’t hugely successful. Brooklyn’s Instagram rant saying he was done with his family came months after this claim.
Insiders say it feels as though the family is grieving a relationship that is technically there but out of reach. Throughout Cruz’s concert, David and Victoria were filming Cruz’s set before joining him backstage afterwards to congratulate him on the show. Despite how strained things are between Brooklyn and his parents, an insider says David and Victoria still have a lot of love for him.
