Donald Trump seems to have a new strategy to address the Iran war: schmoozing. Rather than address the apparent famine crisis in the Middle Eastern nation, the President changed the subject by sharing his fondness for Dana Perino.
During an interview on Fox News, the real estate mogul recalled having lunch with her a long time ago. He praised her good looks while joking about how detrimental his compliments can be to his career.
Dana Perino received a lot of love from the President
It seems the President has no interest in addressing the current situation in Iran. Either that or he was just taken aback by memories of Dana. On Thursday’s episode of The Five on Fox, Donald had glowing remarks for the co-host, calling her “beautiful.” He adds that his opinion about that hasn’t changed today.
He joked that saying that is “politically incorrect,” while adding, “it’s the end of my political career.” Dana was wondering if the Iranians had any food or water amid the US attacking them.
People online were quick to slam the President for his flirtatious response rather than discuss the Iran situation directly. Donald has publicly used the word beautiful to describe women before, including his Attorney General, Pam Bondi. He even joked that he’s not allowed to say the word beautiful during a Women’s History Month event at the White House in March.
During the holiday season last December, Donald drew backlash for using the word beautiful during a cringeworthy phone call. The President was chatting with an eight-year-old girl named Anna from North Carolina. During the call, Donald said to the girl, “You sound so beautiful and cute.”
It’s a strange time in the world of politics. And things show no sign of changing any time soon.
