Here’s How Kylie Kelce’s OB Reacted to Her ‘Super Bowl Birth Plan’

Kylie Kelce is celebrating a major milestone: one year since the birth of her daughter, Finnley Anne. In a special postpartum anniversary episode, Kylie sat down with her OB-GYN to revisit the high-stakes logistics of the 2023 Super Bowl. While the world watched the “Kelce Bowl” on the field, a medical team was working behind the scenes to manage one of the most famous pregnancy travel plans in NFL history.

Kylie Kelce’s OB had a ‘sleepless night’ due to her ‘Super Bowl birth plan’

Traveling to a major sporting event at 38 weeks pregnant is enough to make any mother nervous, but it turns out the medical professionals were just as anxious. During the conversation, Kelce’s doctor admitted that once the Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC Championship, the reality of the situation set in.

The doctor shared, “I had one night that I was a sleepless night where I started to think about, okay, what if something happens on the plane?” The fear wasn’t just about staying in Arizona, but the travel itself. “It’s the plane ride where I was… you know, that’s what we were there for, those to and from plane rides.”

To manage the risk, the doctor spent that night walking through every possible scenario. She thought about “exactly everything I could pack to be prepared” to ensure Kylie was safe wherever they were. The preparation went beyond just packing a medical bag. The team actually coordinated with local professionals in the Super Bowl host city.

The doctor explained, “We actually went so far as to connect with a doctor in Arizona.” Since the Philly team couldn’t practice medicine in another state, they shifted their roles. They became Kylie’s “support people” who could “advocate” on her behalf if she went into labor while Jason was busy playing in the big game.

A year later, Kylie is using these reflections to highlight the importance of maternal support. Beyond the “Super Bowl birth plan,” she is speaking out against the myth that postpartum recovery only lasts six weeks, reminding her “Real Ones” audience that the physical and emotional journey of motherhood is a long-term marathon.
