Tim Demirjian and Gia Aldisert emerged victorious in the Season 1 finale of Love Overboard. The jury, made up of eliminated cast members, decided they had the strongest connection of the final three pairs, sending them on a trip around the world valued at $100,000. Tim and Gia developed a strong emotional connection on the show that won over the hearts of fans as well as the jury. Tim was respectful about Gia’s boundaries regarding intimacy, making him look like a prince in a ship filled with f*ckboys.
Reality Tea recently got the chance to chat with Tim about his Love Overboard win and his connection with Gia. The Hulu star shared some advice on how to find an authentic connection on a reality dating show.

Dating shows can often be overshadowed by drama, especially in recent years, as the genre has become more competitive. We spoke to Tim about how he tuned out the noise when it came to his relationship with Gia. He offered some advice to future participants on how they can find their person on Love Overboard.
“I’m obviously biased, but I think me and Gia had the strongest connection,” he told us. “I would just say lean in, enjoy the experience in its entirety, and just be yourself.”
We also asked Tim if the strategy part of the show affected his ability to make a connection. He said that strategy may have played a part in the beginning, but not so much once the show progressed.
“As we got to know each other, and understood some connections were stronger than others, it was pretty easy to weed out who had good intentions [versus] who was in it to try and get to the top or stay on the boat,” he said.
