Nancy Grace ‘Knew Something Was Off’ About Nancy Guthrie Ransom

There were tell-tale signs early on that something was amiss in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance. Nancy Grace has been covering the missing case from the early going. She weighed in on the ransom notes recently.

In a recent interview, she says, “something was off, in that the ransom was not requested immediately.” Nancy wonders if the ransom demands were agreed to and paid to the alleged kidnappers. There had been questions swirling as to whether those notes were legitimate.

Nancy Grace spoke on Sean Hannity’s podcast

The ransom notes regarding Nancy’s alleged kidnapping are coming back into the spotlight. Speaking on Sean Hannity’s podcast Hang Out, the true crime host discussed the case. She believes no one paid the ransom demands. For her, the reason they might not have been is because Nancy’s family “never got proof of life.” Nancy’s daughter, Savannah Guthrie, said in a video that they were ready to talk with whoever had taken her. They were also reportedly willing to pay.

One of the alleged ransom notes demanded payment in Bitcoin. This note went to some news outlets over a week after Nancy went missing. On the podcast, Nancy said that she felt the ransom notes were legitimate. She also believes Savannah felt they might be too.

In her first video, days after Nancy’s disappearance, Savannah mentions the power of manipulation regarding voices and images. As such, she wanted proof that her mother was alive and well.

In late February, Savannah seemed resigned to the fact that her mother might no longer be alive. She did say on Instagram, however, that she and the family are holding out hope that she is. Savannah offered a $1 million reward for anyone with useful information on this matter. Nancy, meanwhile, has said that she thinks if the 84-year-old is dead, then anyone responsible should get the death penalty.
