Ryan Seacrest is always open to trying new things. One new thing he tried recently was hosting the show in his bare feet. The American Idol host was inspired by one of the contestants and decided he wanted to “feel grounded” while on the stage. It certainly had the internet talking.
The TV host spoke of his odd decision
When asked about his decision to bare the toes, Ryan laughed and shared that it was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
“Well, I mean, I just saw Kyndal (Inskeep), and I thought ‘I wonder what that…’ I’ve never hosted the show in my bare feet,” Ryan revealed. “I wanna feel grounded. I wanna feel that.”
When the ubiquitous host was told there was an app for that, he laughed and asked if it was Wikifeetia. There are indeed feet pic apps, but that’s probably a story for another day.
In either case, Ryan just got his tootsies done and realized that he wanted the world to see “I spent $42 bucks, so I wanted to show them off,” he joked. “I just had them done. It’s good it wasn’t next week.”
Ryan is no stranger to riling up the internet. He recently revealed that he was feeling pretty lonely and was going to go on Tinder. This is a shift from late last year when he said he was far too busy for a relationship.
And as for Ryan’s foray into Tinder? Looks like it wasn’t meant to be, as he isn’t actually on the app. He was pretty surprised everyone had heard about his remarks on Wheel of Fortune. Even his mom called him to ask about the dating site news she read.
The host joked and told him his mother would be calling him next about his Wikifeetia page. If the hosting thing doesn’t work out, maybe Ryan has a future in feet pics!
