Milly Alcock’s Supergirl trailer is making waves online, leaving viewers awestruck and eagerly anticipating the film’s arrival.

Just a year after the DCU’s promising start with the Superman reboot, James Gunn’s vision will be undergoing a tonal shift. Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl, starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, is expected to inject a John Wick-esque intensity into the franchise.

Warner Bros. Discovery has unveiled a new trailer, revealing the film’s central plot. The movie reportedly draws heavily from Tom King’s acclaimed Woman of Tomorrow comic book series, with some significant additions, including the introduction of Jason Momoa as Lobo.

As Supergirl explores worlds beyond Earth, she navigates her Kryptonian past and confronts a new threat. Troublesome bad guys interrupt her drunken exploits, and Krypto falls victim to a slow-acting poison. With only three days to travel the galaxy, recruit allies, and recover the antidote, Kara must put aside her party-girl persona and rise to the challenge.

The Supergirl trailer has triggered a wave of enthusiasm on X (formerly Twitter), with fans erupting into a frenzy of reactions and theories. “Dc is back,” tweeted an avid fan of the franchise. “Any chance there will be comeo of superman ?” enquired another. “Me on my way to see supergirl,” quipped a DC enthusiast.

Besides Milly Alcock as Supergirl and Jason Momoa as Lobo, the cast includes Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll and Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills. David Krumholtz joins the fray as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and a cameo by David Corenswet as Kal-El.

Supergirl hits theaters on June 26, 2026.
