Robert Pattinson talks about his “worst” audition story while promoting his new film, The Drama, with Zendaya. The duo guested on Entertainment Weekly’s “Lie vs. Lie” segment. In this segment, guests have to make certain statements, and one has to guess whether the other is telling the truth or not.
Robert Pattinson shares his audition story that left everyone ‘traumatized’
Robert Pattinson recalled his worst audition story on Entertainment Weekly’s “Lie vs Lie”. He narrated, “The worst audition story was pretending to carry a rock from one side of the room to another in your underpants, a heavy rock.” His The Drama co-star immediately flashed “true” for the story. The Euphoria alum asked, “You know how I know it’s true?” to which Pattinson replied, “I told you already.”
Pattinson further explained, “It was for 300 (the epic historical action film released in 2006). All the guys in England were doing that, and everyone came out looking absolutely traumatized, and not a single person got the job.”
Zendaya later clarified that there’s reason to take anything Pattinson says with a grain of salt. She remarked, “Rob throws me off, because you have so many crazy stories. I know that some of them are true, because I’ve heard you tell them over and over and over again to other people, exactly the same. That feels like it’s the truth. It’s not like he’s exaggerating every time he says it” (via Entertainment Weekly).
However, besides the truth vs. lie kind of questions, the duo also had to handle some weird relationship questions. Pattinson and Zendaya guested on a French news channel where they were asked a rather awkward question pertaining to their relationship.
The French reporter asked if the couple’s respective partners were jealous about the extensive time they’ve spent together while promoting their film. The duo brushed off the jealousy talk and replied with a laugh, “I don’t think they are, at all!”
For those unversed, Pattinson has been in a long-term relationship with English singer-actress Suki Waterhouse. The couple shares a daughter. On the other hand, Zendaya is allegedly married to her Spider-Man co-star, Tom Holland. However, there is no official word of confirmation from their end yet.
