Star NBC Host Gives Big Career Update

Dylan Dreyer is taking on a new role as a podcast host and is preparing to launch a weekly show about parenting. The longtime Today personality, 44, announced that her new podcast, The Parent Chat with Dylan Dreyer, will debut on Thursday. The show focuses on her life outside work, where she balances her broadcasting career with raising three young boys in New York City.

The show’s description says viewers know her as the candid third-hour host of Today. It adds that Dylan Dreyer is also a mother of three boys in New York City, trying to raise kind, confident, and strong kids while keeping herself balanced. The description also says that, like every parent, she sometimes needs help. Dreyer currently co-hosts the radio show Off the Rails with her Today co-hosts Al Roker and Sheinelle Jones. She also previously worked with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Brian Fichera, on the series Lunch Date With Dylan and Brian.

Dreyer’s new project arrives during a period of transition for the Today show. Veteran anchor Peter Alexander recently stepped away from the Saturday broadcast after more than two decades, marking a notable shift in the program’s weekend lineup. At the same time, co-anchor Savannah Guthrie is preparing to return to the show following an extended absence.

Dylan also shares real-life parenting moments, talking about her sons Calvin, 9, Oliver, 6, and Rusty, 5. She covers everything from daily chaos to the bigger challenges of raising kind and confident kids. She says parenting may not come with a manual, but it can feel easier with support like a group chat where no question is too small. The Parent Chat launches on Thursday, April 2. The first episode features Ashley Graham, and the second episode includes Erin Andrews.
