Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell’s plan for an early release from prison is taking shape. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2021 for assisting, facilitating and participating in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of minor girls.
She was moved from a federal Florida prison to a lower security Texas facility last summer. This occurred after speaking with then Deputy Attorney General, now interim Attorney General Todd Blanche.
Ghislaine Maxwell “wants a pardon,” claims a private investigator

In a final push for her release, Radar reports Ghislaine filed a court petition. She wants 25 high-profile men who made “secret settlements” with sexual assault victims to be held accountable. An expert says this plan lets Jeffrey’s wealthy and powerful associates know she will ID them if she’s not released. In the petition, Ghislaine wrote, “New evidence reveals that there were 25 men with which the [accuser’s] lawyers reached secret settlements – that could equally be considered as co-conspirators.”
Private investigator Ed Opperman says this is an “absolute negotiating chip – she wants a pardon, a reduction in sentence, a commutation,” according to Radar. Ghislaine is hoping these men “use their wealth, power and influence to get her out of prison to keep her quiet,” he says.
After exhausting her appeals, the socialite filed a writ of habeas corpus in December. This is the first time she has threatened to implicate others. No co-conspirators or those involved were indicted by the government.
Ghislaine has no remorse and claims she was targeted by the government after Jeffrey’s 2019 death in prison.
Those listed in the Epstein files include former Prince Andrew, ex-President Bill Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. All deny knowledge of Jeffrey’s crimes.
Ed says Jeffrey’s rich friends are afraid, as their nondisclosure agreements to silence victims can be overrode by federal subpoenas. Even if victims signed an NDA, “the federal government could definitely prosecute these rich and powerful men,” Ed told Radar. This is because a settlement is considered an admission of guilt.
