Jensen Ackles Talks ‘Nervous’ Supernatural Reunion on The Boys

Jensen Ackles recently opened up about being joined by Supernatural alumni Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki in a surprising The Boys crossover. The collaboration has been making waves online, marking a monumental moment in TV history, bringing together two popular franchises. However, in a recent interview, Ackles revealed being “nervous” about the much-anticipated reunion.

Jensen Ackles shares details about Supernatural reunion on The Boys

Jensen Ackles has unveiled intriguing details about his Supernatural reunion on The Boys, offering fans a glimpse into the exciting collaboration. The Boys is gearing up to release its fifth and final season. Jensen Ackles is joining the cast as Soldier Boy, a darker, more brutal, and bigoted version of Captain America. Notably, the satirical series is the brainchild of Eric Kripke, who also created Supernatural.

However, the trailer has dropped a major bombshell. Ackles’ Soldier Boy slams Misha Collins’ character against a wall while Jared Padalecki’s character looks on in horror. The scene is a wild crossover, given the trio’s history of playing Dean, Sam, and Castiel on Supernatural.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ackles addressed the reunion, revealing, “I was nervous to have them on.” Ackles further added that he just wanted his Supernatural family, Misha Collins and Jared Padalecki, to do well on The Boys.

“We spent, you know, almost two decades together, and we still see each other,” Ackles explained. “We still do, you know, conventions together, and we still talk, you know, quite often. And I mean, we’re kind of friends for life.”

Ackles compared watching Collins and Padalecki film to watching his kid play, saying they crushed it. “I had no reason to do that, but I think it’s just a testament to the bond that we share. We had a great time,” he shared.

However, Ackles has cautioned The Boys fans to brace themselves, describing the scenes he filmed with Collins and Padalecki as “disgusting” and “outrageous”. The final season of The Boys premieres on Prime Video on April 8, 2026, with the first two episodes releasing simultaneously.
