Robert Pattinson’s Co-Star Zendaya Picks a Side in Twilight

While promoting their latest film, The Drama, Zendaya actually ended up finding herself pulled into an iconic question about her co-star Robert Pattinson’s Twilight movies that still divides the internet. In doing so, she finally opened up about her own views on the Team Edward vs. Team Jacob loyalties.

Zendaya unveils whether she is team Edward or Jacob from Robert Pattinson’s Twilight

Yes, the age-old debate between Team Edward and Team Jacob made a major comeback, and the beloved Spider-Man: No Way Home actress didn’t hesitate before picking her side. This is exactly why popular culture tends to be ageless, because you never know when it will be all set to make a U-turn.

As per a viral video on X (formerly Twitter), during a recent London screening of her and Robert Pattinson’s The Drama, Zendaya revealed that she’s firmly Team Edward. Without explicitly stating so, she expressed her allegiance to Pattinson’s Twilight character, Edward Cullen, by stepping on the stage wearing a t-shirt featuring him at the event.

At the end of the day, this applause-worthy moment was obviously lighthearted. But, ardent fans of the Twilight franchise know this isn’t a choice that people tend to take casually. To be very fair and honest, Zendaya’s final choice, which was shown off with a fun graphic T-shirt, really felt almost poetic.

This was, of course, because the Euphoria star is now sharing screen space with Pattinson himself.  While she didn’t go deep into her reasoning, the choice alone was enough to send longtime Twilight fans into a rather nostalgic spiral.

Meanwhile, Kristoffer Borgli’s romantic dark comedy The Drama arrived in theaters on April 3, 2026. It continues to build anticipation because it brings together two of Hollywood’s most compelling performers. However, this fun Twilight flashback by Zendaya was a reminder that some debates always remain unsettled.
