The owner of a Donald Trump merchandise store has blamed the US war with Iran for a drop in sales. This, the owner said, has forced her to close the shop down altogether.
“It all started with the war,” said the owner of The Trump Truth Store in Crystal Lake, a suburb of Chicago. “It was dead as a door nail the minute that happened.”
The President is facing backlash from all sides

In an interview with The Chicago Tribune, Lisa Fleischmann claimed that Trump’s war with Iran has forced her to close her once-successful MAGA store. At its peak, The Trump Truth Store sold items including T-shirts and caps which featured slogans such as “God, Guns, and Trump,” and “Department of DOGE.”
“Sales were really slow. It all started with the war,” the former store owner said. “I think customers are unsure what’s going on. Not everyone. But I think a majority of people are unsure what’s going on.”
To that end, Lisa said she thinks people no longer want to wear MAGA merchandise. “If you wear it, they feel someone might come up to them and ask them questions,” she suggested.
But, Lisa’s logic should come as no surprise. A recent poll found that the majority of Americans disapprove of the war with Iran.
An AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey conducted in March found that 59% of Americans believe that US military action in Iran has gone too far. That includes one in four Republicans.
Further to that, another survey found that Americans predict the war will hit them personally. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll, also conducted last month, 56% of Americans said the war would have a mostly negative impact on their personal financial situation. Of those surveyed, only 7% said the war would have a positive impact.
