Nickelodeon child star Amanda Bynes is planning her next chapter. The Easy A actress has had much publicized mental health and addiction struggles in recent years.

The Amanda Show star had a good run, albeit brief, after her Nickelodeon fame. She appeared in All That, as well as movies including Hairspray and She’s the Man, before her mental health took a turn in 2012.

Radar reports that, after losing 28 pounds, Amanda is planning a career revival. The 5’7 actress admitted using GLP-1 Ozempic injections to go from 180 to 152 pounds.

According to one Radar source, “She knows it’s now or never. She knows it’s been a while since she was in the public eye for anything but trouble.”

Amanda plans to leave her turbulent past behind. In 2012, she was charged with reckless driving. After pleading no contest, Amanda received three years’ probation. Her family stepped in the following year, when her mother was granted a temporary conservatorship over her affairs. This followed continuous troubling behavior.

After her release from this arrangement in 2022, Amanda faced personal issues that kept her away from acting. Yet with the weight loss, she is ready to restart her career. Says an insider, “She’s achieving results, she’s feeling good and everything seems to be moving in a positive trajectory. Bottom line for Amanda is that she knows this is her final chance. This is ultimately her last crack at rescuing her career and enjoying a happy, functional life.

This may be her last chance to restart her career, according to the source. “If she screws it up this time, there will likely be no other chances. Amanda knows that, and she’s determined to do the right thing by herself this time,” says the source.
