Donald Trump‘s former press secretary Stephanie Grisham has stated that the president is “not well.” In a recent social media post, Grisham slammed the POTUS’s controversial threat to destroy “a whole civilization” amid the Iran war.
Stephanie Grisham comments on Donald Trump amid Iran threat
Stephanie Grisham, who served as Donald Trump’s aide during his first term, has urged Congress to intervene shortly after the president’s recent controversial threat against Iran. In an X (formerly Twitter) post on Tuesday, the former White House Press Secretary raised questions about Trump’s health.
“He will back down from this madness & attempt to make himself out 2 b a hero instead,” Grisham penned in the post. She added, “I’m going to ask again, where is the leadership in Congress?”
Grisham then stated, “He’s clearly not well (I don’t enjoy saying that) & ur nowhere to b found. This isn’t “just Trump being Trump” & u ALL know it.”
When asked for a comment about Grisham’s latest post, White House spokeswoman Allison Schuster told The Daily Beast, “Stephanie Grisham always wanted ‘2 b’ a great press secretary, but failed miserably and everyone knows it.”
Grisham’s post comes shortly after Trump’s eyebrow-raising Truth Social post on April 7, where he stated, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?”
The statement has sparked backlash among several former Trump supporters besides Grisham, including Anthony Scaramucci and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Most recently, Trump has announced that he will “suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks,” on the condition that Iran agrees to “the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz.”
