Jimmy Kimmel mocked Donald Trump after he gave his final warning to Iran to end the “whole civilization” ahead of his 48-hour deadline coming to a close. The late-night television host trolled that for the president, it was “D-day,” joking that the D here represents “dementia.” Moreover, he spoke about Trump’s catastrophic threats to Iran and the aftermath of his deadline, while revealing that all these war escalations won’t be able to distract them from the Epstein files.
Jimmy Kimmel calls out Donald Trump after Iran threat
During Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host disclosed that they started the show after 5 pm, which he believes was the final deadline for Iran from Donald Trump as well. He talked about the president’s earlier outbursts of demanding Iran reopen the Strait or deal with serious consequences, and his latest final catastrophic warning.
“I agree. I’m against civilizations being annihilated as well. Thank you for taking a stand. You realize this is the same man that was just he was b****ing about losing the Nobel Peace Prize. Now he is threatening a civilization with death. He went from Mahatma Gandhi to General Zod like that,” he said. Kimmel mentioned that, though people of Iran were wondering if the threats might come true, he joked that they didn’t, as it was “Taco Tuesday of all taco Tuesdays.”
Sharing his thoughts on the two-week ceasefire deal, Kimmel added, “He announced that at the request of Pakistan, which has been facilitating negotiations, he was giving Iran two weeks to live. This is how it goes every single time: Trump says something insane — he says, ‘I’m going to kill everybody tomorrow at 5 p.m.’ — we all freak out, and then he backs [down].” He said that the president makes bold claims in public, puts the citizens in panic, and then backs down while also forgetting what he said in the first place.
Revealing why he thinks the opposition is sitting calm while Trump makes shocking claims, he added, “We know he’s bananas. [because of ] how relaxed the Congressional Republicans are about it. Now, he threatens to annihilate a civilization, [and] they’re like, ‘Well, you know how he is: He’s a big talker.'”
Kimmel then showcased a reel of how often Trump backs down from his decision, while also comparing him to a “conscientious employee” with a twist. He then stressed the seriousness of the issue, revealing that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Candace Owens, and Anthony Scaramucci are summoning the cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment. “You know things are bad when the crazy people think you’re too crazy to be president. I mean, what a plot twist,” the host said.
