Bill Gates is all set to testify before the House Oversight Committee regarding an investigation into convicted financier Jeffrey Epstein and the files released by the DOJ. Bill Gates to appear before House Oversight Committee

According to a report by MS Now, Bill Gates will appear before the House Oversight Committee to testify regarding an investigation related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Gates will sit for the interview on June 10. Commenting on the update, a representative of the Gates Foundation told Sky News that the billionaire is happy with the opportunity. The spokesperson also added, “While he never witnessed or participated in any of Epstein’s illegal conduct, he is looking forward to answering all the committee’s questions to support their important work.”

The businessman’s name appeared in the Epstein Files that were released by the Department of Justice. Apart from that, photos of Gates with women whose faces were redacted also appeared. However, he asserted that those were the ones Epstein asked him to take with his assistants.

In February, a report by the Wall Street Journal revealed that Gates had apologized to the staff of his charity foundation regarding his ties to Epstein. Based on the outlet, Gates told his staff, “I apologize to other people who are drawn into this because of the mistake that I made.” He reportedly also admitted that spending time with the late convicted financier was a “huge mistake.” Furthermore, Gates assured his staff that he “never spent any time with victims, the women around him.”

Recently, it was also reported that, along with Gates, former Attorney General Pam Bondi will also testify regarding the Epstein Files in April. However, the DOJ conveyed that Bondi will not attend the deposition.
