As per TMZ, Brad Pitt is reportedly battling Angelina Jolie over a $164M winery case date. Pitt reportedly doesn’t want to delay the trial for too long. He wants to use and enjoy his mansion once again. The Moneyball star sued his ex-wife, claiming she sold her stake in the winery without his permission.

However, the Maria star hit back, stating she didn’t need his permission after negotiations between them reached a dead end. As per court documents, the case is set for trial on February 1, 2027. However, Jolie wants it pushed to November 2027.

Pitt is reportedly open to negotiating and postponing the trial by two months. However, he thinks November would be too late. The 62-year-old actor has claimed the delay has been keeping him away from “the quiet enjoyment of his home in France.” He has also raised concerns about the new owner, alleging an attempted “hostile takeover” of the winery business.

Moreover, Pitt has claimed in his filing that the winery business has been “stymied by the dispute.” The F1 star is keen on resolving the matter as soon as possible so that everyone “can move on with their lives.”

Pitt has insisted that the trial be wrapped up as quickly as possible so that key witnesses are around. He added that Jolie’s former business manager, Terry Bird, “unfortunately passed away,” and her other lawyer may be “too ill to testify.” According to him, while he has given many valid reasons not to postpone the trial, Jolie hasn’t given a satisfactory reason so far.

The 50-year-old actress has hit back at her ex-husband, claiming that “there is no evidence anywhere that Mr. Pitt’s ability to live in his own home has been impacted by this case one iota.”
