Ex-Prince Andrew allegedly became involved in a ‘physical altercation,’ claims book

A royal book has claimed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor once bullied late Queen Elizabeth II’s most trusted aide, Vice-Admiral Sir Tony Johnstone-Burt, over hosting a Pitch@Palace event at Buckingham Palace. As per RadarOnline.com, royal author Robert Hardman has mentioned in the book, “Elizabeth II that the incident took place during a disagreement over scheduling within the royal estate.

“A senior member of staff told Hardman: “It was a routine household matter. The Duke wanted to have a reception, andthere wasn’t any room. It was as simple as that. Tony said he’d have to wait his turn like anybody else, and the Duke went for him.”

But it seems that was not all, as an insider familiar with the claims revealed that description of Andrew “as a bully” in the book is “only the tip of the iceberg.” The source further added that the former prince has been “bullying” the “royal staff and bodyguards for years.” “This latest account is just part of a pattern of vile behavior.”

The author even alleged that a member of staff described the incident as involving a “kinetic” blow, hinting at a physical altercation that shocked those present at the place. And after knowing about the incident, Andrew’s father, Prince Philip, stepped in and wrote a letter to “apologize” to Sir Tony. While King is believed to have addressed the issue directly with his younger brother.

And this is not the only time when such claims have come to light. Historian Andrew Lownie, author of “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” has also alleged that the ex-prince Andrew “bullied his doting mother in her final years.”
