It’s the end of an era for the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. In 2009, these tanned and chaotic reality TV stars made their mark on MTV, where they taught us new acronyms like DTF and GTL. These days, most of these meatballs are parents, living completely separate lives from when they first arrived in Seaside Heights. Overall, it’s been a wild ride. Now, this cast is concluding their iconic run on MTV with an 18-episode final season, and the trailer for their final hurrah teases many full-circle moments for this longstanding cast.
Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is getting married
As this trailer reveals, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is thriving. The “sweetest b*tch you’ll ever meet” is pregnant and planning her wedding to her man, Justin May. Her cast is thrilled for her … well, mostly.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is not really loving this news. Her wedding just so happens to fall on his birthday. “It’s kinda f*cked up,” he admits. “I don’t wanna get out of bed.”
Then, we see Nikki, DJ Pauly D’s girlfriend, contemplating whether or not her man will ever feel ready to start a family with her. And then, a female voice suggests, “Leave him.”
On lighter notes, there will also be a cast-wide comedy roast, several drunken nights out (and in), and a lot of tear-inducing flashbacks, for those who love sentimental moments on TV.
“We did in fact meet as complete strangers,” Pauly narrates. “And now, I can’t picture my life without them.” Honestly, neither can I.
The final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on Thursdays, starting May 7, at 8/7c on MTV.
