Offset Reportedly Sued for $100K Tab By Casino Amid Shooting Incident

The MotorCity Casino Hotel is reportedly suing Offset over a $100K tab that he has failed to repay the casino since March 2024. As they were unable to reach the rapper, they attempted to debit the amount directly from his account, as agreed by both parties before opening the credit line. The legal trouble comes amid recent reports that Offset was shot.

Detroit Casino reportedly sue Offset amid shooting incident

According to TMZ, the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, unable to recover the debt amount, has reportedly sued Offset over a $100k tab. The hotel claims that back in 2024, the rapper opted for the credit line for the gambling night. To get the financial matter sorted, the docs reveal that the casino did contact the rapper but was unable to reach him. Therefore, they tried debiting his account directly, as agreed at the time of opening the credit line. However, they alleged that there weren’t sufficient funds.

Given that the debt remains unpaid, the hotel has sued Offset for breach of contract, fraud, and other claims. A spokesperson for Offset said to Us Weekly, “We are working toward a resolution.”

A representative of Offset confirmed to Variety that he was shot and rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. The statement read, “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”

TMZ reported that the rapper was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. They further disclosed that the authorities became aware of the situation after 7 p.m. on Monday. “[It] resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood,” they further stated.

The outlet also revealed that the authorities arrived on time and the situation was taken under control quickly. It’s reported that two individuals were detained, and the investigation is ongoing. They assured that the scene is safe and there’s no public threat.
