Friends of Shia LaBeouf are reportedly worried the actor is headed for trouble following his recent erratic behavior. Sources say his pals are concerned he could end up in jail or completely broke. The Transformers star was arrested in New Orleans last month after an apparent brawl.
Friends worry the actor could be headed to prison
Shia has displayed some rather concerning behavior in recent weeks. In February he was arrested during Mardi Gras celebrations after allegedly becoming aggressive in a bar and punching a man. He is also accused of using a gay slur during the brawl.
The actor was released from jail on a $100,000 bond, but his scrape with the law hasn’t curbed his alleged bad behavior. He was recently caught on video seemingly trying to instigate a fight in a Rome hotel. He had reportedly flown to Italy to attend his dad’s baptism.
Now an insider has revealed the alleged reason for Shia’s recent behavior. The source told RadarOnline: “No one seems to be able to pull LaBeouf out of this self-destructive spiral he’s in. It’s really difficult for everyone in his life to watch him flame out like this because when he’s sober and taking care of himself, he’s a totally different person. It’s alcohol that brings out his demons and once he’s in that state, there’s no reasoning with him.”
The insider continued: “He’s still on bail and not doing himself any favors ahead of his sentencing because he keeps getting himself into more hot water. People around him are worried he’s going to end up doing serious jail time.”
Prison isn’t the only concern. Shia’s loved ones are also allegedly worried he may end up broke if he continues to damage his reputation while spending like he currently is.
The source added: “He may not be able to pull back – things are looking very bleak.”
