There’s a major fissure growing within the MAGA movement. Former allies like Alex Jones and Marjorie Taylor Greene are questioning Donald Trump’s mental state and fitness to lead. Even Melania Trump has seemingly distanced herself by denying she was ever friends with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
On April 9, Melania delivered a shocking six-minute speech denying any ties with the late Epstein. The statement followed the president’s scathing Truth Social attack on his former supporters who’ve criticized his military actions in Iran.
“They’re stupid people,” Trump wrote on his social media. “They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them. They’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some ‘free’ and cheap publicity.”

In response, Alex took to his Infowars web site, claiming Trump is under “demonic influences.” Additionally, he called the “new Trump” a “rotting husk” of his former self.
“Trump came out on Truth Social and attacked myself and all the original MAGA supporters today,” the conspiracy theorist said. “Whatever’s happened to him has totally changed the man he once was.”
Certainly, Alex isn’t the only former supporter who has grown increasingly vocal against Trump. Since leaving Congress, former U.S. Representative Greene has increasingly had more to say against Trump. Also, Alex and many others have called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked, removing Trump from office.
Yesterday, FLOTUS included in her speech the odd claim that she was never a victim of Epstein’s sexual abuse. Nobody ever said she was, though she was undoubtedly acquainted with him and photographed with him on many occasions. She also addressed her past “casual correspondence” with his convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, while calling for a public hearing for survivors.
Though Trump claimed not to know his wife was making a statement, Melania’s spokesperson told The New York Times he knew a speech was planned.
Meanwhile, Alex claimed the statement signaled that Melania is “breaking with [POTUS].” She “knows the ship is sinking” and is deliberately contradicting the president’s attempts to downplay the Epstein scandal.
