The court battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has gotten tougher, but if one source is right, Lively has no plans to back down. Recently, a federal judge dismissed 10 of the 13 claims Lively had brought in her lawsuit against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director. However, three claims remain in play, including retaliation and breach of contract. Now, the case is moving toward a jury trial, which will reportedly begin on May 18 in New York.

Star Magazine exclusively reported that the court battle setback hit Blake Lively hard. A source told the outlet, “Blake is trying to stay strong,” adding, “But there’s no doubt having such a big part of her case thrown out has been a massive blow.”
Even so, the source suggested that Lively is not pulling back. They claimed, “She’s vowed not to stop fighting,” adding that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, has stood firmly beside her through the latest setback, contending that Reynolds is “furious that his wife was mistreated and he’s not going to let it stand.”
And that support has reportedly become a major part of how Lively is handling the pressure. The source claimed, “He’s constantly reassuring her this is just one setback and not the end of the road.” They added, “There are still parts of the case moving forward and a lot that has yet to play out.”
All in all, most of the original case is gone, but not all of it. Court filings in recent days have shown Lively’s team working as both sides prepare witness lists and trial strategy. Settlement talks have reportedly not worked, and both teams appear ready to continue. Thus, the case is far from over, but Lively does not seem to back down.
