According to a report by the New York Times, there is a decrease in the number of supporters Donald Trump had on the Truth Social platform amid the war between the United States and Iran.
The outlet conducted an analysis of the comments under Trump’s post in which he made a threat to Iran. In the post, Trump stated, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen.” The analysis suggested that only a quarter of users favored his post.
On the other hand, the rest of the commentators seem to regret their decision to vote for Trump after seeing the posts. The decline in his support on the platform is attributed to users’ unhappiness with his handling of the war.
