Spring break is usually the time of year when parents start counting down the days until school starts again. Between the constant snacks and the “I’m bored” chants, a two-week break can feel like a marathon. However, Kylie Kelce is flipping the script. While many moms are dreaming of a quiet house, she is embracing the chaos and enjoying every second of the unstructured family time.
Kylie Kelce’s take on spring break with kids is an unpopular opinion among parents
In a recent episode of her YouTube show, NGL, Kylie Kelce got honest about her two weeks off with her children. She admitted right away that she knows her perspective is a bit different from the norm. “I do think that I’m in the minority. I love it. I love it,” she shared. For Kelce, the magic is in the simple moments. “I love when we get to be lazy and have a day in our pyjamas,” she added.
For many parents, the morning routine is the hardest part of the day. Kelce finds joy in skipping it. “I love when I don’t have to wake them up in the morning,” she noted, saying that the extra time “excites my soul.” This slow pace allowed the family to focus on fun rather than a strict schedule.
The Kelce household also used the break to host a big “birthday bash” for Wyatt and Ellie. Even though Wyatt’s birthday was actually back in October, Kelce waited for spring because she loves a “fresh air” party. Although the weather was not ideal, she gave a shout-out to the guests who “toughed it out” for a lovely day outside.
The party was packed with entertainment like an inflatable, face painting, and a balloon artist. However, the highlight for Kelce was the petting zoo. In a hilarious moment of honesty, she admitted the animals weren’t just for the little ones. “It was for me. It wasn’t even for children,” she joked. She even told the petting zoo staff that they were there specifically for her. Kelce’s perspective is a sweet reminder to find joy in the lazy moments and make the break work for the whole family.
