One of those topics was Vince McMahon’s influence on his WWE career.

Paul revealed what he learned from the late WWE boss, saying, “You know what I learned from that, and your dad just in general; it’s all about the show. It’s all about the product. He built something that he would have died for. It was all about entertaining people. I have so much just respect for that.”

The 31-year-old also said he doubted Vince McMahon understood social media. Stephanie McMahon replied that while her father did not really get social media, but understood the importance of integrating it into the product.

Paul agreed with Stephanie, saying, “That’s the brilliance of Vince McMahon and we’ve seen that over the years. It’s like you have this ability to adapt. Even if you aren’t entirely sure what’s going on, you rely on people who are experts in a craft. And the WWE and Vince trusted me. I was the last person Vince ever signed, which I thought was really cool.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Paul admitted that he didn’t truly believe in himself as a professional wrestler until he watched his own performance after his first match. He also shared that Vince McMahon had faith in his potential and envisioned a future for him in WWE even before he did.
