On Summer House, the friends gathered for a housewarming of Lindsay Hubbard’s new Carl Radke-free apartment. Ben Waddell brought his new love interest, Sabrina, to meet his housemates for the first time.
“That’s the first time I’ve taken Sabrina out to meet everyone,” he said later. However, “she got a bit thrown off [when Amanda said], ‘Everybody thinks that he’s in love with me.’”
Consequently, Ben confronted Amanda over the comment. He said not only was Sabrina “rocked” by Amanda’s confession, but she was hurt. She felt Amanda was making some kind of “dig” at her and didn’t understand why.
The Summer House cast aren’t afraid to be honest
In a sneak peek of Season 10, Episode 11, Ben tells Amanda, “I just wanted to squash it because she was upset afterwards.”
“I’m sure,” Amanda agrees. “I didn’t think about what weight my words had. I just wasn’t thinking at all. It was the end of the night. We had all been drinking, and I just was chatting [with] Sabrina. I definitely could have thought about my words better.”
“This is a girl that, like, you know, that I’m falling in love with and I’m like,” Ben continues. “That’s who I want to be with.”
Amanda is shocked since Ben’s “been so f*cking single all summer … And then this girl comes back into his life, and he’s like, Amanda, ‘I’m falling in love. How dare you.'”
Is Ben attacking Amanda for an honest mistake, much like he did with Bailey Taylor over her off-key joke?
In the end, Amanda apologies for upsetting Sabrina and promises to apologize to her.
Meanwhile, back at the house, Amanda confides in Ciara Miller, “I have such anxiety. Sabrina told Ben that I told her that Ben was in love with me.”
Amanda confesses that she has no memory of making the comment, but “The conversation just made me feel icky.”
In the meantime, Kyle Cooke is “finally feeling hopeful and optimistic … because [Amanda] finally agreed to couples therapy … All I want to do is focus on us and enjoying, like, our last two weekends of summer.”
Sadly, we all know how that’s going to end up.
