Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has long been a bit of a thorn in the monarchy’s side. And it seems he may have had one scandal too many. According to a royal expert, the former prince is seen to be endangering the future of the royal family. However, there is at least one member of the family keeping him close…
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor “poses threat” to the monarchy

BBC correspondent and royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror: “Andrew poses a threat to the good name of the monarchy, and so both Charles and William are keeping their distance.”
However, Prince Edward seemingly has no issue being around Andrew. He recently visited his disgraced brother at his new home at Marsh Farm over Easter.
Jennie explained: “I think this is an illustration of the separation of the institution of monarchy and the royal family. The King and William have a vested interest in protecting the monarchy, and feel they have a duty to do so. I’m sure Anne and Edward feel the same loyalty to the Crown. But they are also slightly more at liberty to keep in contact with Andrew. And it seems they are doing so.”
Apparently, the motive behind Edward’s recent visit was to “check up on his brother’s mental and physical well-being.” According to Jennie, there are reports that Andrew is “profoundly depressed.” As a result, Edward and Princess Anne are “privately keeping communication channels open,” while also “keeping [King] Charles in the picture.”
Jennie concluded: “I guess Edward’s visit suggests that behind the stoic face of the royal family there lies a beating heart. We can only hope that one of them exerts some pressure on their brother to do the decent thing and tell the U.S. authorities what he knows about Jeffrey Epstein.”
Andrew isn’t the only one apparently giving the monarchy a headache. Sarah Ferguson is also said to be making them nervous for this reason.
