Sydney Sweeney Faces Backlash For Controversial Euphoria S3 Scene

Fans slam Sydney Sweeney over a controversial scene in Euphoria season 3, where she dresses as a baby. Sweeney portrays Cassandra “Cassie” Howard in the teen drama series. In the new season, Cassie becomes a content creator and starts making erotic content for OnlyFans to pay for her dream wedding. However, Sweeney’s latest look has sent shockwaves among fans, who are criticizing the actress for participating in such a scene.

Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie storyline shocks Euphoria fan

Fans berate Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie, dressed as a baby in Euphoria season 3. In a new clip doing the rounds on the internet, Sweeney is dressed like an infant.

She has donned a baby pink outfit, with her hair tied in two ponytails and a pacifier in her mouth. Sweeney spreads her legs and holds them up in the air as she makes sweet, innocent, child-like expressions for the camera. The sheer baby pink outfit leaves little to the viewer’s imagination.

She tells her best friend Maddy (Alexa Demie), “if more people knew me, I would be huge.” Needless to say, this has caused a huge uproar on social media. Fans are dragging Sweeney as well as creator Sam Levinson for this controversial scene (via Metro. co. uk).

One fan commented, “It’s genuinely creepy. Any bros turned on by it should seek psychiatry immediately.” A second fan remarked, “’Shocks fans.’ Nah, pretty sure most know what the people that run Hollywood are into these days…” A third fan wrote, “Guys, it’s not envy, she’s obviously beautiful, nobody’s arguing that. But agreeing to a scene where she’s dressed like a baby, with a pacifier, diaper, and s**ualized like that is straight up disturbing. Blame both: the writers for even putting it in, and her for saying yes.”

A fourth fan pointed out, “Mind you, you can’t even do this shit on OF IRL. There are explicit rules against this.” Finally, one fan penned, “Yeah, everyone knows what Hollywood is into. This is far from a ‘shock.’”

Fans have acknowledged that while Euphoria has always pushed the envelope, this time the makers crossed lines with a controversial scene like this. This isn’t the first time the 28-year-old actress has been involved in a controversial scene like this on the show. Previously, she cosplayed as a puppy, with Nate stating, “I work all day. My bride-to-be is spreadeagled on the internet.”
