Justin Bieber recently headlined at Coachella, and his performance was met with mixed reactions. His sets were a combination of nostalgic-fueled sets and songs from recently released albums, SWAG and SWAG II. According to sources, Bieber isn’t focused on negative responses; he was happy to connect with fans and wanted to perform his own way.

Amid growing criticism of his Coachella 2026 headliner, Hailey Bieber also showed support for her husband, sharing a behind-the-scenes compilation with a sweet note.

Justin Bieber ‘happy’ with Coachella performance, sources suggest

A source told PEOPLE that Bieber, whose Coachella performance faced criticism, isn’t focusing on the negatives and was content with his set. They added, “He was excited to reconnect with fans in a way that felt true to where he is now. He’s not focused on how it’s being labeled. He wanted to show up and do it his way. And that’s exactly what he did. He’s happy with how it turned out.”

Amid the criticism, Hailey took to Instagram to showcase her support for her husband, uploading a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the big night. Her pictures also included their little kid, Jack Blues.

Appreciating her husband’s hard work and performance, the RHODE founder wrote in the caption, “such a special weekend. nobody will ever know even an ounce of what it’s taken to get here. so grateful for this beautiful life. SO proud. let’s do it all again!!!”

Back in September 2025, a source close to Bieber shared details on what the headliner meant for the singer and also anticipated a new chapter for the music star. The source noted, “It’s a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it’s something he built entirely on his own. Between headlining Coachella and the success of Swag, it’s clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin—one where he’s fully in the driver’s seat (via Cosmopolitan).”
