Fans Roast Disneyland’s New Han Solo as ‘Temu Solo’

Fans have slammed Disneyland’s new Han Solo at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Disneyland’s Galaxy Edge will feature iconic Star Wars characters like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and others starting April 29. Star Wars’ official account shared a video on X, and needless to say, fans left unflattering feedback in the comments.

Disneyland’s new Han Solo gets a mixed response from fans

Fans have trolled Disneyland’s new Han Solo at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Star Wars shared a video with the caption, “Never tell me the odds. Meet Han Solo, Captain of the Millennium Falcon, at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park starting April 29.” Unsurprisingly, the post has garnered 6.6K likes, 1K retweets, 522 bookmarks, and 415 comments.

In the clip, we see the captain of the Millennium Falcon himself, Han Solo. He strode like a hero with dramatic music playing in the background. He walks a few steps and spots his loyal sidekick, Chewbacca. The duo poses together. Han Solo directs a smart salute to the camera, while Chewbacca lifts both hands and cheers loudly. The screen cuts to the title, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. A smaller text reads, “Han Solo and more, beginning April 29.”

While some fans are impressed, most fans roast the new Han Solo and Chewbacca in the comments. One fan sharply retorted, “Temu Solo…” while sharing a GIF of Harrison Ford, the original Han Solo. A second fan commented, “Give us the Han we deserve, not a glorified Sears catalog model.” A third fan quipped, “That’s Ham Salad, hero of Hardware Wars!”

A fourth fan suggested, “You should have hired the cast of Hardware Wars instead…….” A fifth wrote, “The cameraman when it wasn’t Harrison Ford.” Finally, one fan penned, “Oof. You guys really destroyed this brand beyond recovery. Most valuable IP in existence. All you had to do was let real Star Wars nerds make the content, and then let the business people work with what they made. Not let activists and executives dictate everything.”

Notably, additional iconic characters, such as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia, will also make their debut. The much-loved film scores by John Williams will play throughout, enchanting attendees (via PEOPLE).
