Christina Applegate offered a direct health update after fresh concerns about her condition. The Emmy winner thanked supporters on Instagram, called herself a “strong chick,” and said ongoing issues remained part of daily life as she focused on getting better.
According to a new report, her representative neither confirmed nor denied recent questions about her treatment. Instead, the rep pointed back to the actor’s long record of discussing complex medical conditions, while the “Dead to Me” star promised to say more soon.
Christina Applegate says she’s ‘getting stronger and better every day’
As per Applegate’s recent Instagram post, she thanked fans for their support. She wrote, “Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes.” She then said, “Health issues are a constant for me,” before adding, “I’m a strong chick.” Just as notably, the actor said she was “getting stronger and better every day.” The “Married… with Children” alum also said she was taking time to focus on her health. She ended by promising she would be back with “more to say soon enough.”
In an Entertainment Weekly report dated April 17, her representative neither confirmed nor denied questions about her hospitalization. The rep said, “I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital.” The statement also avoided details about current treatment. However, the spokesperson noted, “She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions.”
The rep added that Applegate had been “refreshingly open” through her memoir and podcast. So, even without confirming more, the response reinforced her openness. The “Dead to Me” star has discussed multiple sclerosis on “MeSsy” since 2021.
That context also explained why her new Instagram post landed so strongly. On “MeSsy,” Applegate previously said, “I lay in bed screaming,” while describing sharp pain. In another episode, she said she had been hospitalized “upwards of 30 times” since 2021. Those earlier disclosures made her latest note feel consistent rather than cryptic.
Meanwhile, the actor kept the new message forward-looking. She thanked people again and took “a moment to focus” on her health. She also signaled this was a pause, not a retreat. For now, Christina Applegate’s Instagram post framed the situation in her own words.
