Logan Paul has again made a headline-grabbing purchase. The influencer-turned-professional wrestler has spent a massive amount on rare manga collectibles, showing just how valuable iconic series have become in the collector’s market.
Logan Paul spends over $500,000 on One Piece and Dragon Ball
Logan Paul revealed that he bought highly graded copies of One Piece and Dragon Ball Chapter One issues, spending over $500,000 in total. Sharing the news online, he called them the “greatest Mangas in the world (imo),” highlighting their rarity and condition.
According to his post on X (formerly Twitter), the One Piece issue is “Chapter One 9.0 (second highest grade in existence, pop 3).” It marks the “first canon appearance of Monkey D. Luffy.” He also pointed out the series’ global success, noting it has sold over 600 million copies, making it the top-selling manga. The other purchase was Dragon Ball “Chapter One 9.2 (highest grade in existence, pop 1).” This issue features the debut of Goku and Bulma, two of the franchise’s most recognizable characters. Paul said he paid a record $550,000 for them. “The Manga journey has begun…,” he concluded.
Fan reactions online were mixed. Some questioned his knowledge of anime, with comments like “you don’t even know… about One Piece,” while others simply praised the choice, calling Dragon Ball “lit.” Paul’s move into high-end collectibles isn’t surprising, as he is often in the headlines because of spending money on collectibles and memorabilia.
Logan Paul first gained fame through viral videos on social media, later building a massive following on YouTube. Over time, he expanded into business ventures like Prime Hydration and entertainment, turning himself into a multi-industry figure. Notably, Logan Paul has featured in several boxing matches and has also been part of WrestleMania and SummerSlam.
This latest purchase adds to his growing list of expensive collectibles and highlights how manga, once niche, has become a serious investment category.
