The View Cohosts Slams Tucker Carlson’s Apology for Supporting Donald Trump

The View panelists have blasted conservative commentator Tucker Carlson after he issued an apology for endorsing Donald Trump. The cohosts, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and others, shrugged off Carlson’s apparent change of heart, noting that he was simply doing all this for money and to maintain relevance.

Tucker Carlson slammed by The View cohost over his apology

The April 21 episode of The View saw all the hosts call out Tucker Carlson’s recent apology for advocating for Donald Trump.

Whoopi Goldberg brought the topic to the Hot Topics table by saying, “Do you know who just lost one of his biggest supporters over the ongoing war in Iran? Far-right commentator Tucker Carlson says he regrets ever helping put you-know-who in the White House.”

The hosts then played a clip from a recent episode of the Tucker Carlson Show, wherein the former Fox News star apologized for encouraging Donald Trump. He noted that the seriousness of the present situation implicates “everyone who supported [Trump].”

Carlson also stated, “In real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now,” before ending his account by saying, “Sorry for misleading people.”

However, Joy Behar wasn’t buying Tucker Carlson’s apology for encouraging Donald Trump, instantly responding, “Oh, please!” Meanwhile, Sunny Hostin added to the narrative by saying, “Whatever. I don’t believe him. He’s not getting a bear hug from me. The world’s on fire, and you can’t just say, ‘Oopsies!'”

Claiming that Carlson was having “what they call liar’s remorse,” Behar exclaimed, “He’s lied about everything, so he needs to make a list of all the things he got wrong — not just, ‘Sorry!'” For Sara Haines, Carlson’s apology was simply a ploy to generate “clicks and money,” adding that the TV personality “just needs to disappear.”

After Alyssa Farah Griffin described Tucker Carlson as “vile” and “dangerous,” Behar closed the segment by saying that the former Donald Trump supporter had a “psychological disorder” due to his “pathological need for relevancy.”
