Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Drops Amongst Republicans

Based on the results of a new poll, Donald Trump is losing favorability among Republicans as his approval ratings fall further. The results come after a previous poll suggested that Gen Z voters are sidelining the US President and are not happy with his performance. Trump’s ratings are getting affected due to the war between Iran and the United States and other various factors.

Donald Trump’s rating amongst Republicans reaches new low

According to a recent poll by Marquette University Law School, Donald Trump is losing his footing among Republicans as his approval ratings reach a new low.

The results of the poll suggest that Trump’s approval rating among Republicans now stands at 18 percent. It also states that this is the first time since his first term that the number of Republicans approving of Trump has fallen below 80 percent. Moreover, Trump’s second-term approval numbers have reached a new low.

The poll states that, based on the new numbers, only 39 percent of respondents are now happy with Trump. This is a massive decline from the 42 percent who supported the US President in January 2026. Additionally, the respondents who disapprove of Trump are close to 60 percent.

According to Newsweek, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle shared a statement regarding a previous poll about Trump’s declining approval rating in an email. He stated, “The ultimate poll was November 5th, 2024, when nearly 80 million Americans overwhelmingly elected President Trump to deliver on his popular and commonsense agenda. No other President in history has accomplished more for the American people than President Trump. The President has already made historic progress not only in America but around the world, and this is just the beginning as his agenda continues taking effect.”

As of now, Trump has not made any statements about these polls and the declining numbers.
