Donald Trump looked a little heavier than usual during an interview with 60 Minutes in the aftermath of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Shots rang out at that gala, leaving invitees to scramble for the exits on Saturday.
People weren’t just curious about that, though, but about the President’s physical appearance. Some noted that he appeared to have a bulge while discussing what transpired over the weekend.
Some Americans think President Trump was wearing “a giant diaper”
The POTUS may be getting thicker, or it could be that the camera truly adds an extra 10 pounds. Many people aren’t buying into that popular illusion regarding President Trump, though. In his interview on Sunday, many noticed how much bigger it appeared the President was. Singer/songwriter Bill Madden said on X that not only does he look more obese. Others commented that the President may have been wearing “a giant diaper” for the interview.
Throughout his second term in office, many have discussed the President’s health, both physical and mental. That includes those who work for him. In January, his Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., outlined President Trump’s poor eating habits. According to the nephew of John F. Kennedy, the President’s diet consists of Diet Coke, candy and McDonald’s among other things.
On Sunday, the President praised the actions of security following the frightening incident. He said that when he saw law enforcement officials arrive, he felt secure. A viral video surfaced which appeared to show the POTUS falling to the ground during Saturday’s gala. He insists those were the instructions from Secret Service agents. The real estate mogul added that he and Melania were told to do this.
In addition to his physical appearance, the President’s cognitive health has been questioned. He says he’s aced all the tests administered to him during his second term as President.
