Donald Trump took to social media to slam German Chancellor Friedrich Merz over his latest comments on the US-Israel and Iran war. He claimed that Merz has no idea what he’s talking about. Especially while stressing the consequences of Iran having a nuclear weapon. This criticism comes amid Merz appreciating Iran’s negotiating skills. He claims it has been able to keep the U.S. on its toes. Plus, hopes that the conflict gets resolved soon.
Donald Trump calls out German Chancellor over his comments
Donald Trump took to Truth Social to call out German Chancellor Friedrich Merz over his remarks on how Iran is humiliating the American leadership. Notably, their talks have not reached any conclusion as of yet. He wrote, “The Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, thinks it’s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about! If Iran had a Nuclear Weapon, the whole World would be held hostage.”
He revealed that he’s dealing with Iran on a matter that should have been addressed way back by other nations and presidents. Throwing shade at the German economy, he added, “No wonder Germany is doing so poorly, both economically and otherwise!”
During a conversation with students in the town of Marsberg, Merz commented on Iran’s negotiating skills and their dealings with American leadership. He said, “The Iranians are obviously very skilled at negotiating, or rather, very skillful at not negotiating, letting the Americans travel to Islamabad and then leave again without any result,” he said during a talk to students in the town of Marsberg.
He further added, “An entire nation is being humiliated by the Iranian leadership, especially by these so-called Revolutionary Guards. And so I hope that this ends as quickly as possible.” Recently, a US official claimed that Trump is not happy with Iran’s peace proposal. That is because it avoids addressing the nuclear issues. Furthermore, Iran states that it wants to end the conflict first and resolve the issues surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.
