A new short clip from the sets of Euphoria season 3 has gone viral. In the clip, Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie on the show, can be heard passing gas. The clip spread like wildfire across social media platforms, with some versions of the clip even garnering millions of views.
However, as per TMZ, a source familiar with the incident has confirmed that no such thing happened. The clip, which is doing the rounds on all social media platforms, is edited to grab attention. Because of Sweeney’s popularity across online forums, the clip, even though it’s fake, went viral fast. It was also circulated on multiple accounts, leading to greater visibility.
This is also not the first time something controversial from the sets of Euphoria has gone viral. Previously, rumors of an alleged feud between Sweeney and her Euphoria co-star Zendaya emerged. This rumor was tied to a BTS snap. However, TMZ debunked that rumor earlier, too.
Euphoria’s third season has seen its share of real controversies as well. For instance, the storyline featuring Sweeney’s character, Cassie, has seen a lot of backlash so far. Cassie embarks on an OnlyFans career in the show and even uses some of the money to fund her wedding.
Her costumes, which included dressing up like a dog and like a baby, received immense backlash online as well. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson had defended Sweeney against these criticisms earlier.
