RadarOnline exclusively reported that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce feel disappointed that intimate details of their wedding have become public, but they do not plan to change the New York arrangements. The pop singer and the Kansas City Chiefs star confirmed their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26 last year. Now, they are reportedly preparing for a July 3 wedding in New York City.
The outlet claimed that the couple wants a large indoor venue to keep cameras, helicopters, and unwanted distractions away from guests. This choice fits Swift’s long connection to New York, where she has lived for years and often spends time with friends, and Kelce has also said he likes to “walk the streets and feel the electricity.”
It was earlier speculated that the wedding would take place in Rhode Island, near Swift’s Watch Hill estate, with June 13 mentioned as a possible date. However, that idea reportedly fizzled out after wedding planner Tara Guérard stated that she was handling another June 13 event at Ocean House, with privacy concerns also playing a part in moving the ceremony to an indoor New York venue.
As for the guests, RadarOnline named Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Gigi Hadid, Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, the Haim sisters, and Gracie Abrams among those expected. Niall Horan has not confirmed whether he will attend, stating, “I’ve been invited to a few weddings.”
