Summer House faced a serious security issue when the audio from the upcoming reunion leaked. Bravo looked into it immediately, and everyone was wondering who may have been the one responsible. One person that people speculated may have done it was KJ Dillard. But he denied it, and now Bravo has apologized to him for being accused.
Summer House newbie KJ says Bravo reached out after the leak
Summer House has certainly been in the hot seat in general since Scamanda made headlines. Much like its predecessor Vanderpump Rules, the scandalous relationship reveal between cast members Amanda Batula and West Wilson was everywhere. Scamanda was on everyone’s minds and on their screens.
Because of the scandal, longtime Summer House fans and new fans alike couldn’t wait to see what would happen at the reunion. And they didn’t have to wait long for a sneak peek. Leaked audio from the taping shows that everyone rightfully went after the new couple.
However, the leak was a serious security breach. Andy Cohen immediately expressed his dismay that the audio had been shared, and Bravo launched a full investigation into the leak.
Some rumors pointed at KJ possibly being the leak. But he squashed those rumors. He may have qualms about the couple, but he didn’t share the audio.
KJ even confirmed with TMZ that Bravo reached out to him to apologize for his name getting dragged into it. According to him, they also caught the real culprit. Wonder who it was?
In either case, KJ is in the clear. And that’s good. He only began on the Bravo show in Season 10, but he’s quickly becoming a fan favorite. He also admits that the scandal and leaked footage did help catapult Summer House to a bigger audience. Now everyone wants the tea.
For now, the leaked audio certainly acted like an enticing appetizer for the main course.
