It consisted of a strapless bubble-hem dress and a matching cropped bomber jacket, featuring a long train. She finished the look with $4,900 Jimmy Choo pumps and a diamond necklace. Nevertheless, in hindsight, what now stands out was her choice of accessory, a pair of chic cat-eye sunglasses, that caused the most stir at the gala.
As the family made their way up the staircase, Beyonce’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, and stylist Ty Hunter both repeatedly asked Blue to take off the shades for the photographers, eventually prompting Jay-Z to step in and ask his daughter to remove them. However, Blue Ivy did not change anything. She adjusted her sunglasses and ignored the requests from her dad and the team, keeping her “cool girl” confidence front and center.
Beyonce and Jay-Z looked nothing but proud of their daughter, watching her with a huge smile. Speaking to Vogue during the livestream, Beyonce admitted, “It feels surreal [to be back] because my daughter’s here,” adding that she thought Blue looked “incredible,” stating, “She was ready. She is ready.”
