Donald Trump recently addressed the possibility of his youngest son, Barron Trump, going into politics. In a recent interview, the President opened up about the possibilities of Barron following in his footsteps into politics. While Trump did not outright deny the possibility, he ended the topic on a vague note.
Donald Trump answers question about Barron’s political future
During his May 10 appearance on Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson, President Donald Trump spoke about Barron Trump’s possible future in politics.
When asked by Attkisson if he sees his youngest son eventually opting for a political career, Donald Trump replied, “Well, maybe, he’s certainly a popular guy, but I have a lot of members of my family that are very popular, you know? I have good kids, they are very good kids.”
While Trump did not speculate much about his son’s professional future, his and Melania Trump’s past statements have insinuated that Barron could follow in his father’s footsteps. Talking about her son’s involvement in politics during a January appearance on Fox News’ The Five show, Melania noted, “I’m proud of him, and he’s an incredible young man. He understands. Now, he’s involved. He knows what’s going on in the world. He talks with his dad, [and] he talks with me.”
The First Lady also revealed that Barron played a crucial role in helping Donald Trump prepare for the 2024 Presidential Election, specifically on the digital front. “He was very involved in the campaign. He gave him all of the ideas, whom he needs to talk to, including all of these YouTubers and podcasts. So, he was really a smart mind behind it,” she said.
Donald Trump shared a similar account of his son’s political involvement in a 2024 interview with Kayal & Company, stating, “He’s really been a great student. And he does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.'”
Barron Trump is currently studying at New York University’s Stern School of Business. However, he appears to have launched his professional career and presently serves as a co-director of a lifestyle beverage company called Sollos Yerba Mate Inc.
