It’s reported that he’s considering including Venezuela as the 51st U.S. state. She also provided an update on the oil flow situation.

Donald Trump says he’s considering making Venezuela 51st state

Ahead of the 250th anniversary of America, Trump appears to have plans to include Venezuela as a state in the country. This news emerged when Fox News reporter John Roberts revealed that he spoke with the president on a call in which the president disclosed his plans for the South American country. “Just got off the phone with @realDonaldTrump … he told me he is seriously considering a move to make Venezuela the 51st state…” Roberts said on X (formerly Twitter).

While Trump hasn’t made this claim public about Venezuela, a White House spokesperson did praise him for his continued efforts to better things between the two countries. Sharing what the status of oil flow is, she added, “As the President has said, relations between Venezuela and the United States have been extraordinary. Oil is starting to flow and large amounts of money, unseen for many years, will soon be helping the great people of Venezuela.”

Praising the president for his efforts, she concluded, “Only President Trump can be credited for the revitalization of this newfound partnership – and the best is yet to come!” (via PEOPLE).

During the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Venezuela’s acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, hit back at Trump’s remarks, clarifying they don’t want to be a part of the US, as they aren’t a colony but rather a free country. “We will continue to defend our integrity, our sovereignty, our independence, our history,” she elaborated (via AP News).
