Donald Trump’s AG, Todd Blanche, has reignited debate over the 2020 elections. He refuses to give a decisive answer about claims that it was rigged. In a recent interview, the acting attorney general stated that the investigation is still ongoing.
Todd Blanche doesn’t give proper explanation for how 2020 election was ‘rigged’
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has stated that there is a “ton of evidence” that the 2020 presidential election was rigged against Donald Trump. However, he refused to give a “definitive answer” on whether they were true or when federal authorities might prove it.
Speaking with Sunday Morning Futures’ Maria Bartiromo on Fox News, Blanche said, “I’m not going to promise there’s going to be a definitive answer.” Trump’s AG added, “That wouldn’t be fair to you or anybody else. But we are looking at it, and we’re hoping to get one.”
Blanche further cited the Trump administration’s ongoing investigation in Georgia and Florida. However, the president’s former criminal defense attorney noted that there is still uncertainty surrounding what the inquiries might ultimately reveal.
“It takes a lot of work to uncover what happened in 2020,” Blanche stated. “It takes a lot of old, good-old-fashioned law enforcement, police work, which is what we’re doing, and we have great prosecutors working on it as well, and I assure the American people that as soon as we have something to say for it — whether it’s charges, whether it’s a report, whether it’s the results of an investigation — the American people will learn about what we uncovered,” he added.
Trump allies have often challenged the result of the 2020 elections in which he lost to Joe Biden. However, subsequent investigations have not yet found any evidence supporting the claim that it was a rigged election.
In February this year, the FBI raided the elections office in Florida. It was based on a referral from Kurt Olsen, a Trump ally and a part of the president’s campaign to challenge the 2020 election results (via The Independent). However, the warrant offered no evidence of fraud. It has even been noted that “many allegations” have previously been “disproven.”
