Euphoria Star Shoots Down Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney Feud Rumors

Rumors of a backstage feud between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney have been swirling around “Euphoria” for weeks. Now, one of the HBO drama’s cast members is stepping in to shut down the speculation after fans dissected everything from premiere photos to missing cast appearances.

Jessica Blair Herman clarifies Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney row rumors on Euphoria set

Jessica Blair Herman says the supposed tension on set simply doesn’t exist. Herman, who appears in the upcoming season of the HBO drama, addressed the rumors during a recent appearance on Good Day New York. And honestly, she sounded pretty confused by the entire thing.

“They really did,” Herman said when asked whether the cast bonded during filming. “And I’m not just saying that.”

The feud chatter picked up after Sydney Sweeney missed a recent cast photo tied to the show. Then came anonymous insider reports claiming both actresses would supposedly feel relieved once Euphoria finally ended.

Naturally, social media ran with it. But according to Herman, there’s a much less dramatic explanation for why Zendaya and Sweeney weren’t constantly together during production.

“To be fair, when I was there, they’re not sharing scenes,” she explained. “Their storylines are very separate, you’re shooting on different days and stuff.”

In other words: scheduling. Herman also pushed back on claims that the atmosphere on set was tense or divided. “There was no drama,” she added. “Everyone wants to do the work.”

The rumors probably didn’t help that both actresses are currently operating at full Hollywood saturation levels. Zendaya has “Dune: Part Three” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” lined up, while Sweeney is juggling “The Housemaid,” multiple brand deals, and her lingerie label SYRN.

That kind of career overlap tends to create competition narratives whether anyone involved asks for them or not.

Still, neither Zendaya nor Sweeney has publicly addressed the speculation themselves. And at least for now, there’s no actual evidence suggesting anything deeper than two extremely busy actresses filming separate storylines on separate days.
