Lizzo shut down claims after netizens accused her of badmouthing Taylor Swift. Recently, she reshared a post in which an online user mentioned both artists’ albums and songs. The rapper didn’t understand the context and thus asked X users to explain. One of the critics accused her of talking “s***” about the “Life of a Showgirl” hitmaker. This didn’t sit well with Lizzo, who clarified that she never spoke ill of Swift or any other artist.
Lizzo clarifies she never badmouthed Taylor Swift after fan’s claim

Lizzo was called out for badmouthing Taylor Swift. Recently, the 38-year-old got into an almost-argument with an X user. On May 22, she reshared a post, which was captioned: “The Life Of A Showgirl + MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING — 4.005M. ICEMAN + MAID OF HONOUR + HABIBTI — 683k.” Below it, the music video for her song “STFU” (feat. Lil Jon) from her mixtape “My Face Still Hurts from Smiling” was attached.
On the re-shared post, Lizzo wrote, “Can someone explain what this means?” Many users pointed out that the tweet showed the sales records for her and Swift’s. Meanwhile, one critic posted, “It means all that s*** talking you did about Tay finally caught up to you.” The “About Damn Time” hitmaker didn’t let go of the accusation and dismissed the claims with another tweet on May 23.
“Are you well? First of all I have never talked s*** about Taylor Swift— also while we on the subject I’ve never talked s*** about any artist. Just because I mention an artist by name does not mean I’m talking s***— grow tf up pls,” Lizzo wrote. Her remark received over a million views as of this writing.
Meanwhile, the critic didn’t reveal why they claimed that Lizzo badmouthed Swift. Instead of dissing, the “Truth Hurts” soloist has given a shoutout on multiple platforms. She once mentioned the “Enchanted” vocalist in a “Genius Verified” episode and compared her work style to Swift’s on the “The Breakfast Club” radio show.
