Tony Hinchcliffe has fired back at Chelsea Handler, who called him out for making racist comments around George Floyd at the Kevin Hart roast on Netflix.
Hinchcliffe appeared on his live podcast “Kill Tony” saying that Chelsea kept coming at him during the show and “was a bit of a c***.” Comedian Nikki Glaser has also weighed in and called him out for making a random racist joke without making it “palatable.”
Tony Hinchcliffe resorts to name-calling after he felt the sting of Chelsea Handler’s words
Tony said that Chelsea got a lot of facts wrong while trying to roast him and read off a teleprompter without any original material. The podcast turned out to be a mini roast of Chelsea, where he made a lot of remarks on her career, age, and physical appearance.
Tony Hinchcliffe is receiving a lot of backlash after making a tone-deaf joke about George Floyd. At the Netflix roast, Hinchcliffe told Hart, 46, “The Black community is so proud of you… right now George Floyd is looking up at us all laughing so hard he can’t breathe.”
The Floyd family reacted immediately, saying that they were “baffled and disgusted” and that the comedian’s fixation on the tragedy was “sad for culture.” They added that repeated jokes about the victim of a racially charged murder are also an act of bullying to his 12-year-old daughter.
Hart, too, has not escaped criticism for not intercepting Hinchcliffe to stop him from performing the show. He, along with some other show guests, has strongly defended Hinchcliffe, upholding the spirit of the roast as a no-holds-barred format.
Hart, who was also the executive producer of the show, has refused to edit out the controversial comments. Hart, who attended Floyd’s funeral in 2020, is also facing public scrutiny due to this act of hypocrisy.
Handler has also come in hot at Hinchcliffe’s heels, calling the MAGA-coded comedian a “racist” and a “disgusting.”
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE COMEDIANS’ BACK AND FORTH ON THE TOPIC?
