Colin Firth’s Ex-Wife Slams Gwyneth Paltrow Over Controversial Ad

Colin Firth’s ex-wife, Livia Giuggioli, has rescinded her invitation for Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow to visit Quintosapore – the sustainable, “soil-to-fork” organic farm that Giuggioli co-founded on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, Italy.

The controversy stemmed from the fact that the “Iron Man” star posted an ad promoting luxury real-estate property in Herzliya, Israel, just miles away from the war-torn city of Gaza.

Colin Firth’s ex-wife Livia Giuggioli blasts Gwyneth Paltrow’s “unacceptable” ad promoting luxury properties near Gaza

The environmental advocate said that she has “cancelled” Paltrow because “what she did is completely unacceptable”. Giuggioli commented further, “Making an ad for a luxury condo is as disgusting as it can be for someone [with] privilege.”

She was particularly hurt by Paltrow’s “detachment from reality, ” saying, “You’re either so detached that you need to be cancelled… or you’re actually a really, really nasty person. Or you are stupid. Which are you, Gwyneth Paltrow?”

Giuggoli, who was married to A-List Hollywood actor Colin Firth from 1997 to 2019, tore into Paltrow for the said commercial, which shows the “Marty Supreme” star appearing for a 51-storey luxury property just 50 miles from Gaza.

In the ad, Paltrow is seen complaining about early morning runs before spinning the narrative to say, “There’s a reason the world’s most iconic buildings are by a park,” referring to the controversial location. Paltrow boards a cab and asks the driver to drive to “51 Park” in “Herzliya, Israel.”

Despite not posting the ad on social media, the ad provoked her followers to share their reactions on other posts. “Gwynocide has a ring to it,” said one user, with another quipping, “So disappointed but glad to see the real you come out. Won’t be listening to your pod any longer…” Angry reactions came thick and fast, with one user saying, “The level of ice in your blood is stunning,” while many posted GIFs to urge a collective boycott of all Paltrow-owned businesses.

DO YOU THINK THE AD WAS TONE DEAF?
