North West’s meet with a model at PFW goes viral

Kanye West’s daughter North West’s interaction with 23-year-old model Matteo Sinet has gone viral on X. As shown in the short video, the 13-year-old reaches out her hand for a handshake. However, Sinet gives her a side hug instead as the duo poses for photos together.

Based on North’s expression, it was evident that she was caught off guard but she handled herself. Skepta shared the video with the caption: “A blind man could see she wanted a handshake kmt.” However, North seemingly got over her awkwardness as she confidently suggested a cool pose for the duo in front of the cameras.

Skepta expressed his concern for the teenager in subsequent posts on X. In one post, he wrote: “My fans know I try to stay out of people’s business but damn the way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick.” Another comment followed: “WOW!!Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!

In a later tweet, Skepta declared: “I’m actually shocked people don’t see anything wrong with greeting a 13-year-old with a hug….. Let alone the handshake signal. Wtf is wrong with people.”

A source shared with Page Six that North “wasn’t uncomfortable at all and just wasn’t sure if [Sinet] wanted to shake hands or hug.” The internet is seemingly divided over this. While some think that Sinet should have respected North’s boundaries, others think it’s not a big issue.

One fan commented: “The weird part is how some people think this behavior is normal smh.” A second fan echoed: “She’s too exposed for a thirteen year old. This is what Kanye was fighting against.”

A third fan wrote: “He went for the safe, friendly hug and y’all turned it into something dark, why?” Finally, a fan penned: “This is a very common social interaction. One person initiates a handshake, but the other person has already committed to a hug. It’s awkward, brief, and completely innocent. Why try to tarnish a man’s reputation over something so trivial?”
